The Art of Blending (for Singles)
Tuesday, October 7, 2025 | 6:30pm-8:30pm
Class location: Some Good Wine
This is an event for single people to meet other single people. But it's still a wine event, a great opportunity to learn, relax, and have a good time (even if nobody catches your eye). Granted, our events have always been a great place to meet other people. Maybe it's the wine, maybe it's the vibe we create, but either way, I know at least three married couples who met each other in one of my wine classes. Ok, on to the details...
We'll start with a seated tasting, where we will taste and talk about 4-5 wines, what makes them unique, and why they taste the way they do. In keeping with the theme of the event, we'll focus on wines which are blends of different grape varieties. Like people, it's hard to predict which grapes will get along with one another, and the best blends often defy logic. We'll pour a handful of wines from different parts of the globe, and use those to talk about body, acid, and alcohol - all of which come together to shape every bottle of wine, and make each unique.
Then we'll open more bottles and set up a couple stations in the room where people can come by to get samples, ask questions, and just hang out. Cheeses and breads will be served during both the seated and walk-around tastings.
In total, we'll taste 8-9 wines, and yes, cheese, breads, and charcuterie will be served - the good stuff (from Murray's) and plenty of it. I hope to see you, and thank you for your consideration.
PS - We're aiming for 25 to 30 people and the event will go on with at least 14.
