Beer & Brats
Class location: 167 West 23rd Street (between 6th & 7th Avenues)
This is a special evening dedicated to beer, and brats. Not brats, as in whiny kids, rather we're talking about bratwurst, that Bavarian specialty which, without beer, is just a sausage. But put the two together, and it's on to flavor-town.
I'll be co-hosting this event with my good friend and colleague, Ethan Fixell, editor of The Beer Necessities, and lover of all things delicious. We last teamed up in the spring, for a beer vs. wine showdown. We hosted it twice, both sold-out shows, but rather than be combatants, we decided to host an event dedicated wholly, with love, to the brew.
We'll sample eight different beers, grouped into pairs. Each pair will be served with something special and delicious to eat, either a bratwurst preparation, a cheese, maybe some charcuterie. And, of course, you'll receive a world class education about beer, as we sample everything from a clean, refreshing Kölsch to rich, chocolatey porter beers.
Above all, this event is designed to be a fun, festive celebration. What better way to spend a chilly, Friday night in November? We're excited to host it, and we hope you'll join us!
